Sir Richard Branson’s Mahali Mzuri tented camp in Kenya is set to open in August 2013.
Mahali Mzuri is situated within the Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem of Kenya, about 240km due west of Nairobi.
The property consists of 12 sleeper tents and can cater for a maximum of 24 guests at any one time.
“We are very excited to announce that Mahali Mzuri will be open from this [Northern] summer. It’s a fantastic time to be opening as it coincides with the world-famous Great Migration so guests will have a front row seat,” said Jon Brown, Managing Director for Virgin Limited Edition.
“With such a beautiful and serene setting, Mahali Mzuri will undoubtedly offer a unique African experience like no other.”
Rates start from USD$590 per person per night (based on double occupancy) and are fully inclusive of all meals, drinks and daily game drives as well as unlimited access to the Olare Orok and Motorogi Conservancies.
