Anantara has launched a new e-learning platform for staff across the group

Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas has launched a comprehensive E-Learning program, creating a wealth of career enhancing and development opportunities for its current and future associates across all hotels and regions of operation.

Anantara has partnered with three well known providers to support the different phases of its newly enhanced development program, which according to the company, will ensure the group stays at the forefront of associate development in the hotel industry in the Asia Pacific region and also that Anantara attracts the finest talent in the industry.

“Anantara is growing fast and we need to be able to keep up with the talent requirements that come hand-in-hand with this,” said Anantara’s Vice President of Human Resources, Caroline Stevens.

“By adding this new E-Learning capability into our already successful associate development program, we are confident that we are putting a solid and reliable process in place to help us prepare and build for Anantara’s future talent requirements, whilst demonstrating a significant investment in our current and future Anantara associates.”

According to Stevens, the objectives of introducing E-Learning include to continue the delivery of consistently high levels of customer service, to increase Associate competencies and to increase and improve opportunities for talent development within the group, a serious requirement for meeting the needs of a rapidly growing company such as Anantara.

The three external providers for the new E-Learning are well known and established in the hospitality arena – Skillsoft, Ashridge and E-Cornell, all known for their excellence in providing educational platforms within the industry.

The development program incorporates different learning journeys, each supported by E-Learning to provide a blended learning approach to facilitate the development of high potential team members. Each learning journey is competency based including goals on service excellence, key milestones, classroom activities and graduation at the completion of the journey. Each participant is allocated their own dedicated coach, who is a senior within the team or property they work in.

Anantara Hotel General Managers will now have the opportunity to participate in tailor-made E-Learning courses through E-Cornell, with the aim to improve and fine tune their level of competency requirements to enable them to maximise their business operations and personal achievements.

Examples of the E-Learning courses offered to General Managers through E-Cornell include: Managing Strategic Change; Creating Value and Competitive Advantage in the Hospitality Industry; and Creating Service Cultures.
