Mantra is due to complete a $20million investment in refurbishments to their CBD hotels, demonstrating a commitment to offering a quality business travel product to complement the group’s well known leisure offerings.

The extensive refurbishment program across seven of Mantra’s 21 CBD properties commenced in July 2011 and is the first phase of a two year investment to upgrade city hotel product.  The investment will be complemented by the ongoing Mantra brand campaigns featuring Ambassador Pat Rafter, which demonstrate the ‘Room For Everyone’ product offering to both business and leisure travellers.

“Our city hotels are predominantly frequented by business travellers who will benefit from the refreshed product now on offer but leisure travellers visiting for city events will also enjoy the new look hotels,” said Mantra Group CEO Bob East.

A $7 million investment was made at four of the Melbourne properties including an extensive $4 million refurbishment of Mantra on the Park, with extensive funds also spent on Mantra 100 Exhibition, Mantra on Russell and Mantra on Little Bourke.

The top end has also welcomed a new look Mantra on The Esplanade in Darwin following a $3million upgrade to cater for the increased demand from the mining boom.  Similarly Mantra on Queen in the Brisbane CBD has unveiled a $2.5 million refurbishment to offer a premier apartment product for frequent business travellers with further work to complement in the coming months.

Mantra’s Sydney properties in Parramatta and Chatswood will complete the comprehensive refurbishment plans with Mantra Parramatta completing a $1 million refurbishment and Mantra Chatswood due to complete work in June.

There are 53 Mantra Hotels, Resorts and Apartments around Australia in all capital cities and key holiday destinations including the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Tropical North Queensland and the NSW North Coast.  Continual upgrades to both CBD and leisure products across Mantra Group’s Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree accommodation brands are also schedule throughout 2012.
