The 'new' Park Hyatt Sydney

BY JAMES WILKINSON

Park Hyatt Sydney threw an extravagant reopening party last night (Mar 20) to celebrate the property’s AUD$60 million renovation that has seen the hotel become the most luxurious property the Harbour City has ever seen.

Guests sipped on Krug champagne, were treated to canapés from the world’s best Park Hyatt chefs – who were flown in from Tokyo, Shanghai and Paris – and enjoyed the property’s stunning new bar, restaurant, lobby and rooftop Presidential suite.

The VIPs – including government ministers, media and fashion celebrities, and major clients – were also treated to operatic and choral performances during the evening, and exclusive tours of the hotel’s new rooms.

Australian hotel design firm, BARstudio created an intimate and stylish interior for the ‘new’ Park Hyatt, which is highlighted by artefacts, books and artworks in the 155 rooms and unique pieces throughout the lobby and common areas of the waterfront property.

Stay tuned to HM over the coming weeks for exclusive video interviews with the property’s executive team.
