New dates have been announced for ANZPHIC 2011 and the Serviced Apartments Summit after the event’s postponement this week due to the ash cloud from Chile’s Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano.

Horwath HTL Managing Director John Smith said the event would be held on July 18 and 19 at Hilton Sydney.

“This week’s postponement was regrettable but unavoidable given the large number of interstate and overseas delegates, sponsors and speakers,” he said.

“ANZPHIC will (now) kick off at 9:00am on Monday 18 July and will continue through to 12.30pm on Tuesday 19 July, following which (after a short lunch break) the Serviced Apartments Summit will commence and run through until 6pm.

“Since both events will now be held at the Hilton Sydney, the previous space constraint issues we had for the Summit no longer exist.

“Accordingly we will now be able to additionally register for the Summit (at no extra cost) any two-day ANZPHIC 2011 delegate who is not presently registered for that event.

“The Programs for the two events will, where possible, follow the same format as previously announced, although as you will appreciate not all previously announced speakers will be able to participate in the events due to other commitments on the new dates,” Smith said

A number of events are still being held at ANZPHIC, including the Zeta Bar cocktail event (July 18), the ANZPHIC lunch featuring two awards (July 18), the optional dinner at the Arthouse Hotel’s dome restaurant (July 18), an additional lunch on day two (July 19) and a cocktail event at Blake Dawson’s offices after the Summit concludes (July 19).
