Quest Apartment Hotels is continuing its expansion in Victoria, with construction commencing at Quest Epping at Pacific Epping Shopping Centre.

The development of Quest Epping is the result of an increased need for apartment hotel accommodation that caters to business travellers in the City of Whittlesea.

Quest Bundoora, located within the University Hill precinct, has operated for almost five years and has experienced significant year-on-year growth from the business traveller market.

Located on Cooper Street, the new Quest apartment hotel will be adjacent to the Pacific Epping retail and dining precinct featuring 1,300 sqm of new restaurants, which is rapidly evolving to service one of Melbourne’s fastest growing corridors.

Director Planning & Major Projects, City of Whittlesea, Steve O’Brien, was on site to mark the occasion. He was joined by Pacific Shopping Centres’ Graham Terry and Quest Apartment Hotels Chairman, Paul Constantinou.

“This is an exciting opportunity to further boost visitors to Epping,” O’Brien said. “Quest’s presence in Epping is important as it provides more local jobs for local people.

“It will provide a high standard of accommodation that will support the city’s development as it continues to expand into a destination of choice for business and leisure,” he said.

Constantinou said Quest Epping is in line with the company’s national growth strategy and reinforces its commitment to meeting the needs of metropolitan business centres.

“Quest Epping’s location is unmatched, servicing the growing population of the outer northern suburbs, which is predicted to continue over the next few years.

“Quest Epping will be able to provide premium short and long term accommodation to travellers doing business in this burgeoning business hub,” Constantinou said.

Pacific Shopping Centres’ Graham Terry said the addition of Quest Apartment Hotels will bring increased activity to the site and create more opportunities for the growing community.

“The Centre is undergoing significant growth with additional major retail expansion and the hotel will further enhance Pacific Epping as a destination servicing our fast growing trade area. Hotel guests will certainly have plenty of food options being situated above our buzzing Urban Diner,” Terry said.

The property will feature 96 apartments, including studio, one, two and three bedroom configurations. The development also includes on-site parking, a conference room and gym and is expected to open mid 2018. Quest Epping will be the 55th Quest property in Victoria.
