The Melbourne suburb of Box Hill is set become the site of the city’s second DoubleTree by Hilton.

The hotel, to be located at 874 Whitehorse Road in Box Hill, is owned by the Longriver Group and is expected to open in 2020.

Andrew Yu, Chairman of Longriver Group said: “We are thrilled to undertake this project with Hilton to deliver the second DoubleTree by Hilton hotel to Melbourne.

“Our expectation is that this fresh and energetic hotel will become a hub in Box Hill, delivering exceptional, award-winning service for which the DoubleTree by Hilton name is renowned.”

The hotel will boast 200 stylish and comfortable rooms, a restaurant, bar and gym coupled with all the modern, thoughtful amenities guests expect from the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.

“We are committed to growing Hilton’s presence in Australia. The signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne Box Hill is an integral part of our regional portfolio expansion plans for the country, which prioritize key city centres as well as leisure destinations across the country,” said Robert Scullin, vice president, development Australasia, Hilton.

At DoubleTree by Hilton, the teams know that little things mean everything when it comes to a rewarding travel experience and strive to deliver to every guest the special comforts and acts of kindness unique to the brand – starting with the warm DoubleTree Cookie welcome and continuing throughout the entire length of each guest’s hotel stay.

“We are proud to mark our brand’s second property in Melbourne – one of Australia’s most vibrant cities,” said Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.

“Our hotel in Box Hill presents an ideal location for the surrounding education, government and healthcare facilities and underscores our brand’s commitment to delivering upscale, full-service hotels in key markets and gateway cities around the world – beginning with the signature, warm DoubleTree Cookie.”

Every guest will get to enjoy thoughtful amenities such as Crabtree & Evelyn bath and body care products, complimentary high-speed internet access in public areas, and an industry-recognized service culture, which is built around the idea of CARE (Create A Rewarding Experience) for guests, Team Members and the community.

DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne Box Hill will participate in Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s 14 distinct brands.
