The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong new suite 1

The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has unveiled the first of two new luxurious suites.

Designed by award-winning Hong Kong architect, Joyce Wang, The Apartment Suite is a home-away-from-home located on the hotel’s top floor.

Designed in the style of a luxury private apartment, the glamorous new 1,500 square foot suite showcases Wang’s trademark elegant aesthetic and detailing.

The suite’s stylish entrance leads to an open plan living area filled with furnishings custom-designed in a palette of gold, caramel and royal blue, and with natural wood floors. Specially commissioned artworks complete the subtle yet luxurious experience.

Designed to impress, the dining space is equipped with a chic cocktail bar and pantry for showcasing gourmet treats. Giving the dining area its wow factor is a bespoke perforated brass chandelier paired with a 6-seat crackled gesso-finish dining table that imitates the natural beauty of bark. Equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, the Gaggenau kitchen is ideal for preparing food for many occasions, from intimate dinner party to family gathering.

A sophisticated, comfortable retreat, the spacious living area features a sumptuous, velvety-soft, 3-metre wide, curved sofa with two matching armchairs, and an enormous, richly textured hand-tufted rug. A centrepiece of the study area is a large bespoke desk with trademark Wang translucent acrylic base.

The master suite features a bed with curvaceous quilted leather headboard, separate walk-in dressing spaces and spa-inspired marble bathroom with deep soaking bathtub and separate walk-in rainforest shower.

The suite can be transformed into a two-bedroom residence when combined with an adjacent guest room with interconnecting door. The resulting 1,950-square feet space is ideal for families.

“The Apartment Suite is the perfect accommodation for style-conscious travellers who can enjoy all the comforts of a home-away-from-home in the heart of vibrant Hong Kong,” says Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong General Manager, Torsten van Dullemen.

A second super-entertainment suite will be the hotel’s largest, and is scheduled for completion in mid-2017.
