Queensland’s premier centre for live performance, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), has teamed up with Mantra Hotels, Resorts and Apartments in a three-year deal, which will see Mantra become QPAC’s ‘Preferred Accommodation Partner’.

The partnership will see the cast and crew from various QPAC produced, presented or hosted performances make a Mantra hotel in Brisbane their home throughout their stay in the city.

Mantra and QPAC will also present special offers and benefits to Mantra’s hotel guests as well as collaborate on a series of special experiences exclusively for Mantra guests. The first was a special experience for 20 Mantra guests which included being hosted at an exclusive cocktail function and attending the dress rehearsal of Ballet Preljocaj’s Snow White as part of the recent 2016 QPAC International Series, an initiative which presents some of the world’s leading dance and classical music companies exclusively in Brisbane.

Mantra Group Chief Executive Officer, Bob East, said the partnership demonstrates Mantra’s commitment to supporting the fundamental role of arts and culture in the community.

“It’s a fitting partnership for Mantra Group given our ongoing support of the arts and entertainment industries,” East said.

“Along with providing spacious and conveniently placed accommodation for cast and crew, we’ll also be promoting QPAC to our database of more than half million subscribers and also onsite at our properties.”

As one of Australia’s busiest performing arts centres, QPAC welcomes approximately 1.3 million visitors and presents around 1,200 performances annually.

QPAC Chief Executive John Kotzas welcomed the new partnership.

“QPAC does everything we can to create memorable live performance experiences. An important part of this is ensuring our artists are well looked after. They always feel at home at Mantra,” Kotzas said.
