When the R. Weatherdon and Co was founded 40 years ago, before the hospitality products industry in Australia really existed, little did anyone know this fledgling company would forge international trade frontiers and evolve into a leading supplier of the Australian accommodation industry.

Fast forward to 2016 and the year of the new.

The company has added a new bulky goods line to its product range, launched its new brand, moved headquarters and taken on a new warehouse.

The logistics hub of Botany NSW was chosen for the warehouse site given that it is at the nexus of suppliers and clients, with the airport, port botany, M5 freeway all within a two kilometre radius and the CBD only eight kilometres down the road.

“With an expanding range of bulky goods such as fridges and microwaves the Port Air industrial park is a multimillion dollar facility, fit-for-purpose to manage increasing volumes and peaks in demand and streamline our business processes.

“The newly refurbished warehouse provides the capacity to handle an expanding inventory and gives us the flexibility to meet future growth.

“With high-ceiling access, great visibility, navigation and additional pallet stacking there is also the bonus of a showroom for client visits.

“With representatives in all the states our head office has moved into smart contemporary offices in St Leonards, not far from our previous location.  This area has one of the highest concentrations of employment in Sydney’s economic arc with a highly efficient transport centre making it an attractive place to work thanks to the sought after lifestyle ingredients of an urban centre with a plethora of shops, restaurants, community services and recreational facilities all geared to the local working population.

“Our new brand look reflects our broad catalogue of products under a stylised W.  The logo graphic inspiration comes from a diamond, the epitome of quality and resilience and the gradient emphasises the clean, shine and glimmer of a diamond’s unique qualities reflecting our approach to our clients and their business needs”, said Robert Weatherdon, Managing Director of R. Weatherdon and Co Pty Ltd.
