Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group paid tribute to the top-performing hotel teams and individuals from across the region at the Asia Pacific Business Conference 2016 Awards Dinner last week (Jan 28).
Held in conjunction with the Carlson Rezidor Asia Pacific Business Conference 2016 at Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok, the event was attended by over 200 delegates, including senior Carlson Rezidor executives from Asia Pacific and the global offices.
“Carlson Rezidor Asia Pacific enjoyed a remarkable year in 2015 and this success was made possible by our dedicated and talented hospitality professionals who live up to the Carlson credo and deliver exemplary guest experiences every day,” said Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s President of Asia Pacific, Thorsten Kirschke.
“I congratulate the award winners and hope that they will aspire to achieve even more, while inspiring others to excel as they have.
“Carlson Rezidor will continue to nurture, recognize and reward top talents as we all work together towards our 2020 target of adding 100 operating hotels to our Asia Pacific portfolio,” he said.
Among the key gongs, the Responsible Business Hotel of the Year award was won by Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island. With one of the largest roof-mounted solar power systems on the Pacific Islands, Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island harnesses solar power to provide 20% of the energy that the hotel requires. The hotel is also actively involved in its community, connecting with 28 schools though an Adopt-a-School program. Supporting the community pillar in Responsible Business, the hotel team led the establishment of 11 school libraries, equipped them with computers, and donated books. The team has also contributed to blood drives and donation drives, as well as supported vocational schools by donating kitchen equipment, providing training and internship opportunities.
