Fiji’s Vomo Island Resort has reopened its doors following an extensive renovation, elevating service and amenities ensuring its world-class reputation.

All Hillside and Beachfront Villas received a total makeover to bathrooms and bedrooms featuring chic handcrafted furnishings made exclusively for the resort.

General Manager, Mark Leslie played an integral part in sourcing and designing the villa interiors, traveling to Bali to secure the best sustainable teak furniture makers creating bespoke daybeds, coffee tables, mirror frames, cabanas, and new decks for the swimming pool and Rocks Bar.

“With my years of dedication to VOMO and passion for hospitality, I wanted to be hands on with the redesign of the villas ensuring a privileged luxury experience,” Leslie said.

“We’re excited to share our new look Villas and food and beverage offerings sure to exceed guests’ expectations.”

The resort’s signature Rocks Bar received an upgraded bar as well, allowing guests to enjoy cocktails and the world-famous Fijian sunsets in style.

May 2015 will see the debut of an open-air show kitchen emphasizing healthy grilled fare with international influences from Japanese Robata to Tandoori ovens, and a raw bar offering local specialties from the Pacific Rim.

This adults-only culinary theatre will be open on selected evenings throughout the week for dining and each evening for sunset cocktails and complimentary canapés.

Also in May, a new state-of-the-art kitchen in the main house will be completed, elevating Chef Erwin Joven’s already world-renowned all-inclusive culinary experience.

Daily-changing, a la carte menus will highlight a variety of local and international cuisine using the freshest available ingredients and from the resort’s own organic herb and vegetable garden.
