Carlson’s hip new lifestyle brand Radisson Red is set to make its global debut in Asia-Pacific.

The signing of the of Radisson Red Shenyang Hunnan in Northeast China was revealed at the 2014 Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) late last week (Oct 17) and speaking exclusively to HM on camera shortly after, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s President of Asia-Pacific, Thorsten Kirschke, said the signing was an important milestone for both the company and the region.

“It’s a significant step forward in the launch of a new brand,” he told HM. “And it’s probably no surprise that it is in China, being the epicentre of worldwide growth in the hotel industry so we are very happy [with the signing] for many, many reasons.”
