Best Western International continues its Asia and the Pacific Rim expansion, now operating hotels in 12 cities across Japan following its first ever property opening in the thriving Japanese port city of Yokohama recently.

Coming just weeks after the launch of a new Best Western hotel in neighbouring Tokyo, BEST WESTERN Tokyo Nishikasai, the 185-room BEST WESTERN Yokohama marks the group’s continued expansion in the Greater Tokyo area, home to more than 35 million people.

Yokohama has always been Japan’s gateway to the world, and has a rich history as an important Asian city for trade and commerce. It is becoming one of Japan’s foremost conference and event destinations, and has hosted several major international conferences and events in recent years.

Currently, Best Western has a portfolio of more than 200 hotels across Asia. In Japan, the group has 17 hotels including the 5-star BEST WESTERN PREMIER Hotel Nagasaki.
