The Parkroyal Darling Harbour hotel in Sydney has commenced a multi-million makeover, one that includes an overhaul of the guestrooms, club lounge and lobby.

According to Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Area General Manager for Oceania, Craig Bond, the refurbishment is “inspired by today’s travellers, their needs and expectations”.

“Prior to commencing the refurbishment project, it was important that we listen to our guests and their expectations,” said Bond, who is also the hotel’s General Manager.

“The refreshed concepts and features are supported through guest feedback via our internal customer satisfaction questionnaire, customer insights from Trip Advisor and research on what today’s traveller expects from a hotel experience.

“Through its enhancements, Parkroyal Darling Harbour Sydney will provide the perfect location for exploring the city whilst delivering authentic local encounters to make sure business and leisure guests get the most from their stay,” he said.

Collaborating with acclaimed design company Hassell, [the] Parkroyal Darling Harbour Sydney will feature enhancements that complement the Parkroyal brand while providing a unique character that is in harmony with its iconic Australian location, according to Bond.

He said the overall design concept introduces a vibrant and fresh new colour palette to the hotel that represents the natural Sydney surrounds, from beach to bush landscape.

“The overall design concept evokes a contemporary response that has a ‘crafted’ approach whilst engendering a relaxed interior sanctuary,” said Hassell principal, Susan Standring.

While finer details have yet to be released, the refurbishment will also incorporate the latest technology and innovation.
